Stumbling Stones Krugerlaan 105

These memorial stones (so called Stolpersteine of stumbling blocks) commemorate:
Samuel Joseph Leefsma (born 1881) 18.05.1944 deported from Westerbork to Auschwitz and murdered there on 22.05.1944..
Susanna Leefsma-Mogendorff (born 1888) 19.05.1944 deported from Westerbork to Auschwitz and murdered there on 22.05.1944.
Henriette Leefsma (born 1910) 14.09.1942 deported from Westerbork to Auschwitz and murdered there on 17.09.1942.
Alfred Samuel van Adelsbergen (born 1909) 29.08.1943 deported from Westerbrok to Sobibor and murdered there on 02.07.1943.
Marie van Adelsbergen-Beek (born 1908) 29.08.1943 deported from Westerbork to Sobibor and murdered there on 02.07.1943.
David Mozes Leviticus (born 1917) 1942 deported from Westerbork to Furstengrube and murdered there on 11.03.1943.

The small copper plaques, in the pavement in front of houses of which the (mostly Jewish) residents were murdered by the Nazis, mention the name, date of birth and place (mostly a concentration camp) and date of death.

In many other cities, mainly in Germany, the memorials also can be found. There are already many thousands of these plaques and their number is still counting. Almost all Stolpersteine are laid by the German artist himself, Gunter Demnig.
