In this house was a hiding place (a small room of 3 by 3 metres) where Joseph and Regina Meijer, the only Jewish residents of Bedum, hided for the Nazis.
Sadly they were found and murdered in the Holocaust. The room is now a private museum with many original artefacts which belonged to the couple and other authentic artefacts from World War II.
The museum can only be visited after an appointment.
For current visiting hours, please visit the website of the museum.
