Dutch War Graves General Cemetery Brielle

Brielle General Cemetery contains three Dutch war graves from World War II.

Mr v d Wallen was the director of the lime factory.
He was a part of a group arrested in december 1944 after the interrogation of a dutch police officer who was also a member of the local resistance.

After the execution of a NSB Mayor by the resistance in the Hoekse Waard ten people where victim of retaliation murders by the Germans.Among them the dutch police officer and Mr v d Wallen on the 18-02-1945
