Memorial Jan Campert

This memorial commemorates Jan Campert, the poet and resistance fighter who died in Neuengamme concentration camp on 12 January 1943. The house where he was born was located here.

His illegal poem "The Song of Eightteen Dead", written in 1941, is the most famous resistance poem in the Netherlands in World War II.
