National Museum of Military History

This large museum is dedicated to military history of Bulgaria and exists since 1916. In the museum park in front and in the inner courtyard of the museum are many aircraft, tanks, vehicles, guns, weapons, uniforms and many other artefacts, from different countries from different times.

In the museum building itself are 4 levels dedicated to the large military history of Bulgaria. There is a limited use of dioramas and the exhibit mainly focusses on showing vast amounts of small material, such as weapons, medals and uniforms.

Unfortunately it is not allowed to take pictures in the museum.

For current visiting hours, please visit the website of the museum.
