Stumbling Stones Luisental 5

These memorial stones (so called Stolpersteine of stumbling blocks) commemorate:
Berta Nordsiek (born 1920, murdered in Heilanstalt Meseritz on 4-1-1944)
Heinrich Behrens (born 1915, murdered in Heilanstalt Meseritz on 19-2-1944)
Ernst Busch (born 1929, murdered in Heilanstalt Erlangen on 4-10-1941)
Anneliese Etzold (born 1921, murdered in Heilanstalt Uchtspringe on 7-7-1943)
Rudolf Grimminger (born 1922, murdered in Heilanstalt Erlangen on 15-11-1944)
Georg Harbers (born 1908, murdered in Heilanstalt Blankenburg on 3-8-1941)
Ursula Oetjen (born 1926, murdered in Heilanstalt Meseritz on 19-12-1943)

The small brass plaques, in the pavement in front of houses of which the (mostly Jewish) residents were persecuted or murdered by the Nazis, mention the name, date of birth and place (mostly a concentration camp) and date of death.

In many other cities, mainly in Germany but also in other European countries, the memorials also can be found. There are already many thousands of these plaques and their number is still counting. Almost all Stolpersteine are laid by the German artist himself, Gunter Demnig.
