Stumbling Stones Friedrich-Wilhelm-Weber-Straße 30

These memorial stones (so called Stolpersteine of stumbling blocks) at the Westfälische Landeskrankenanstalten commemorate:
Theodor E. (born 1911, murdered in Heilanstalt Scheuern in 1943)
Mathilde G. (born 1879, murdered in Heilanstalt Scheuern in 1943)
Theresia L. (born 1870, murdered in Heilanstalt Scheuern in 1943)
Anna O. (born 1911, murdered in WeilMünster in 1943)
Richard R. (born 1900, murdered in WeilMünster on 12-12-1943)
Luise S. (born 1880, murdered in Heilanstalt Scheuern in 1943)
Carl T. (born 1891, murdered in Heilanstalt Hadamar in 1943)
Alwine L. (born 1906, murdered in Heilanstalt Scheuern in 1943)

The small brass plaques, in the pavement in front of houses of which the (mostly Jewish) residents were persecuted or murdered by the Nazis, mention the name, date of birth and place (mostly a concentration camp) and date of death.

In many other cities, mainly in Germany but also in other European countries, the memorials also can be found. There are already many thousands of these plaques and their number is still counting. Almost all Stolpersteine are laid by the German artist himself, Gunter Demnig.
