V Beach

The 29th Division landed here on 25 April 1915, as part of the Gallipoli Campaign (1915-1916). About 6500 British and French soldiers were either killed or wounded, while the Ottoman defenders suffered 1,898 losses (killed, wounded or taken prisoner).
