Redoubt Fortress & Eastbourne Heritage Service

The Redoubt, built in 1804-10, is a massive defensive work originally housing 250 troops. The fortress has been restored and provides an interesting and fitting location for its military museums.

Displays include the collections of the Royal Sussex Regiment and of The Queen’s Royal Irish Hussars Regiment.

For current visiting hours, please visit the website of the museum.
