German War Cemetery Karlshagen

At the (Kriegsgräberstätte) cemetery are the graves of 2000 soldiers, civilians and POW’s, after the bombing of Peenemünde and Karlshagen on 17 and 18 August 1943 and 18 July 1944.

There are also two mass graves with 56 and 213 forced laborers from the Trassenheide I and Trassenheide II satellite camps of the Ravensbrück concentration camp . The labourers had to work on the installations in Peenemünde.
