This German base was used to launch V1-bombs, mainly to London.
In these large buildings were per building about 10 V1-bombs on trolleys, with no wings attached. The entrance bends to reduce the devastating effects of the explosions in bombing Seen from a plane, the construction has a shape of a ski that is put on its side. Therefore the British called this V1 launch sites of the first generation "skisites". In each launch complex there were three of these buildings. Length 80m, width 4,30 m.
