Fort Bezuiden Spaarndam

The "Fort bezuiden Spaarndam (Fort south of Spaarndam)" was built in 1901 as part of the Stelling van Amsterdam (Defence Line of Amsterdam, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site).

The fort was mobilized both in 1914-1918 and in 1940.

The fort is restored and now a café.
