Maginot Line - Fortress Ferme Chappy

The Maginot Line's Ferme Chappy fortress was a part of the Fortified Sector of the Crusnes Secteur fortifié de la Crusnes. The garrison consisted of 115 men of the 149th RIF (Fortress Infantry Regiment).

On 21 June 1940, the fort was attacked by the German army but was repelled with help from the nearby Fermont fortress . During this attack, one French soldier was killed.
