Memorial THE VOLUNTEER

The statue is of a Lieutenant in the Canadian Infantry of WW1. The base bears the Inscription ERECTED TO CARRY OUT A BEQUEST MADE BY THE LATE ALEXANDER GEORGE ROSAMOND P.P.C.L.I. KILLED AT COURCELETTE SEPTEMBER 15, 1916.

The wall bear the inscriptions: TO THE MEN OF ALMONTE WHO FELL FOR FREEDOM 1914 - 1918 1939-1945, KOREA 1950 - 1953, PEACEKEEPING.

The memorial is located beside the Almonte Old Town Hall
