Fort aan de Nekkerweg

The "Fort aan de Nekkerweg (Fort at the Nekkerweg)", model B, was completed in 1912 as part of the Stelling van Amsterdam (Defence Line of Amsterdam, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site).

The fort was mobilized both in 1914-1918 and in 1940. At the end of World War II, the fort was used for German prisoners-of-war and after the war, collaborators were imprisoned here.

Nowadays the fort is a wellness-resort.
