Emergency Hospital Lage Zwaluwe
During World War II on 12 september 1944 the basement of the school in the Nieuwstraat, (now The Grienden), was used as an emergency hospital headed by Red Cross Sister Catherine Nelemans and district nurse Moulijn.
On 4 april 1945, the school came under German shellfire.
