Jewish Memorial Utrecht

This memorial is located in front of the Railway Museum / Maliebaan Station. The text on the memorial is:

Utrecht 1940 - 1945
In memory of more than
twelve hundred Jewish members
of our community who did not survive
the Second World War.

Some of them had escaped
to this city.
Others were born and raised here.
The majority was carried off from
Maliebaan Station.
They were executed just because of
their Jewish background.

We commemorate them with the words of
Isaiah 49:16a.

This memorial was unveiled on 29.10.2015.
