Kaunas Fortress - Fort VI
This fort was built and modernised from 1882 to 1915. In July 1915, it withstood eleven days of assault before capture by the German Imperial Army.
During the Second World War, this fortress was used by the Wehrmacht as POW camp for Soviet soldiers.
