Suicide Cliff Tinian

During the Battle of Tinian (25.7.1944 - 1.8.1944) many hundreds of Japanese citizens and soldiers jumped from this cliff towards a certain death. Today there are a couple memorial stones at this site, erected by family members to pay a last tribute to their beloved.
