Coast Watchers Memorial Lighthouse

This working lighthouse is a memorial dedicated to the mostly Australian and British soldiers and local volunteers who served as spies for the Allies during the Second World War.

From the coast of islands occupied by the Japanese they radioed the positions of Japanese ships. Only few of them survived.
