Memorial The Guardians

This memorial in the Veteran's Memorial Park commemorates de Navy SEALs who were killed during operation Red Wings in Afghanistan op 27 May 2005. The sculpture depicts Matthew Axelson (lived in Cupertino) and James Suh in full combat equipment. In total, the memorial commemorates 19 American servicemen killed in the operation.
