War Memorial Deminers Kalmthout

Memorial plaque for 5 fallen deminers. On this place a German train filled with munition was bombed by the allies. Shortly after the war (January 9, 1946) soldiers had been ordered to clear the munition, of which one exploded, instantly killing three soldiers and two shortly after.

This is a new memorial erected on September 14, 2013 with five stones commemorating the fallen soldiers.
