Tanforan Assembly Center (Tanforan Racetrack Memorial)

Tanforan Assembly Center was a transit camp for ethnic Japanese. The camp was located in the Racetracks of Tanforan and was operational between 28 April and 13 October 1942. During the existence of the camp, 7816 people were interned here. A memorial is dedicated to this camp and its internees.
