H.M.A.S. Sydney 1 Memorial Mast
This foremast commemorates H.M.A.S. Sydney 1.
On 9 November 1914, she had an engagement with the German raider Emden which eventually ran aground on Keeling Island.
This victory marked the Royal Australian Navy's first "ship to ship" engagement and its first victory.
