Memorial General Nathan Bedford Forrest

Nathan Bedford Forrest (1821-1877) was a Southern general in the American Civil War (1861-1865). He was feared by his enemies as cavalry- and guerilla-leader. His brilliant war tactics still are subject to studies. The memorial is located on Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
