Haitian Campaign Medal

The Haitian Campaign Medal was issued to decorate US Navy and Marine Corps servicemen who served during the Haitian Peacekeeping actions between 1915 and 1920. The decoration was issued twice, the first time in 1917 and a second time in 1922.

The 1917 issue was authorized for those who served between July 9th and December 6th, 1915. The 1922 issue, formally issued in december 1921, was intended for those serving between April 1st, 1919 and June 15th, 1920.

Often the decoration is regarded as two separate medals, the First Haitian Campaign Medal and the Second Haitian Campaign Medal. Although the ribbon for both decorations is the same, the medal itself differs in the date placed on the decoration.
