20   The Brigade Commander, Chief Umpire, B.M., I.O., Staff Captain together with 8 representatives from each unit in Bde went to EASTBOURNE to attend a security play given by 1 Bn Welsh Guards.
22   Exercise "Slasher" Brigade Signals exercise begins. Appendix I
23   Exercise "Slasher" ends in P.M.
23   Lieut. D.G. Ryan, Grenadier Guards, (L.O. 'G') went away on Sick Leave.
23   Lieut. P.A. Hudson, Grenadier Guards, 1st Reinforcement took over L.O. 'G' in his absence.
25   The Major-General Commanding the Brigade of Guards visited Bde H.Q., 4 Tk Gren Gds, 4 Tk Coldm Gds and 3 Tk Scots Gds.

27   Lieut. A. Hubbard, R.A.O.C., the acting Bde Ord Offr was involved in a motor accident in which he was slightly injured. The driver was more seriously hurt and both were admitted to hospital.
27   Capt. C. Fry, R.A.O.C., the Bde Ord Offr returned off Sick Leave.
27   Exercise "Trubshaw". Bde Service in CANTERBURY Cathedral and March Past the Brigade Commander. The Archbishop of Canterbury and the Bishop of Dover among other High Clerical Dignitaries were present. The Archbishop of Canterbury gave an address. Appendix 4 and 4a
