22.12.1943: Oberfeldwebel, Flugzeugführer, 1. Staffel, Kampfgeschwader 66, KIA during an exercise in the St Dizier area, cause unknown when Ju 88S-1 Werknummer 140.600 coded "Z6 + DH" crashed 27 km north of St Dizier, killing the other two crewmen - Remaining crew:
-Uffz Hermann Bünnermann (o28.04.1920), Beobachter
-Fw Willi Ostermeyer (o05.10.1920), Bordfunker
