Biography

Stanley James Morgan was the gunner on board the Vickers Wellington X3279 JN-M from No. 150 Squadron, when this plane was shot down by Oberleutnant Ludwig Becker from 6. Staffel, Nachtjagdgeschwader 2. The bomber crashed in the Waddensea, East of Ameland. All crewmembers, besides Morgan, Observer Kenneth Stoddart Preston (1913-1942), Co-pilot Sergeant Leonard Thomas Baker (1918-1942), Pilot Flying officer Malcolm James Larke Blunt (1915-1942), Gunner Sergeant Gwilym Thomas Edwards (1919-1942) and Gunner Sergeant William Jackson (1919-1942), were all killed.
