Biography

Gunner, Staff Sergeant

409 Bomber Squadron 93 Bomber Group (H)

Son of Carl and Effie Graffit-Cook, married to Opal Lorene Lykins. Gunner of B-24 42-63969. Shot down over the IJsselmeer (Netherlands) on his way back from a mission to Osnabruck. His body washed up near Makkum five months after the crash and he was buried there on 23 June 1944. After the war, he was reburied at Margraten in the Netherlands.
