Biography

William F.H. Newington was a District Commissioner who was a a civilian volunteer participating in Operation Postmaster in January 1942. He and Abell manned the second folbot armed with revolvers and a tommy gun. When they arrived at the Likomba, its German crew jumped into the sea. He received SOE training for this mission.

Later Captain of the Bicycle Patrols.
