Biography

John Coulson Webb, Private FC A Coy, 1st Battalion 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division. Resided in Wayne County, Michigan. Son of Coulson E. Webb and Irene M. (Neil) Webb.

He attended St. Anthony High School and worked at Federal Mogul. He enlisted in August 1943 and was sent overseas in June 1944.

John “Jack” Webb was killed in action on 20 September 1944 during Operation Market Garden and was initially buried at the temporary American military cemetery in Son, near Eindhoven, Netherlands. He was later reburied at the American War Cemetery in Margraten.
