Dallmann’s Knight’s Cross recommendation reads as follows…
“I ask for the award of the Knight’s Cross to the Iron Cross for SS-Untersturmführer Dallmann in light of his outstanding achievements during the defense of Budapest. Brave in all situations. Over the course of numerous counterthrusts he has thrown back much larger enemy forces. Has continued his advances beyond his ordered objectives. Enemy assembly areas smashed. Wounded today.”
