Hermann von Fischel (1887–1950) was a German naval officer who rose to the rank of Admiral during World War II. Born in Kiel into a military family ennobled in 1908, he began his career in the Kaiserliche Marine in 1905 and served as a U-boat commander during World War I, earning multiple decorations.
In the interwar years, Fischel held various artillery and staff positions in the Reichsmarine, eventually commanding the battleship Deutschland and serving as Chief of the General Naval Office. Promoted to Admiral in 1941, he became Marinebefehlshaber Kanalküste (Naval Commander of the Channel Coast), overseeing German naval defenses in northern France, including during Allied raids like Operation Barricade.
After the war, he was captured by Soviet forces in Berlin and died in captivity near Moscow in 1950.
