1) His achievements during the fighting around Rzhev, where with an 88 mm gun he destroyed 10 tanks in two days.

2) An action which took place on 09.02.1944. On this day the Soviets were able to penetrate the German lines. Despite the lack of communication with higher commands, Hauptmann Stuhlberger out of his own initiative was able to assemble the remnants of the German forces into a Kampfgruppe and succeeded in preventing an enemy breakthrough.
