Biography

Chandler Cotton was raised on a farm in Purcell. He joined the army in December 1941 and graduated OCS after basic training.
He was assigned to 23rd Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division were he served the entire war.
After WWII he stayed in the army and served in Europe as a company commander in the 1st Infantry Division, including several years as part of the "Berlin Brigade".
His last assignment was as Counter Intelligence Officer till he retired in 1962.
