Biography
Wilhelm Kubel joined the RAD from April until October 1938. On November 16th, 1938 he joined the Werhmacht at Kumbinnen in the II. / Infanterie-Regiment 22. With his unit he served at the Northern part of the Eastern Front. during the period of 1942/1943 he commanded a company in the Grenadier-Regiment 162. After the heavy fightings during the retreat in the spring of 1944, he commanded the I. / Grenadier-Regiment 162. Finally he reached the rank of Hauptmann der Reserve.
