"Cpl.Helbert was placed in charge of a group of excellent launching teams with a mission of supporting the assault on a villa from which the enemy was directing fire and placing upon Helberts' battalion. In the ensuring action, Cpl Helbert was wounded but nevertheless he continued to direct the group under his charge until removed from the battlefield by medical personnel. Until being taken away he was engaged in supplying ammunition to the teams. Cpl.Helbert's disregard for his personal injuries and his steadfast devotion to duty is in keeping with the highest military tradition."
