Citation:
"In September, 1940, this officer carried out a successful photographic reconnaissance of the Dortmund-Ems aqueduct. Flying Officer Taylor took off from his base in dense fog but, flying through this, he reached his objective and secured valuable photographs, from a height of 6,000 feet. He has, during the last two months, carried out a number of exceptionally successful reconnaissance's, including one over Kiel which was considered, the most valuable reconnaissance completed for the Navy during the war. Other work by this pilot includes photographs of Cap Gris."
