Biography

Chief Warrant Officer 3 Paul L. Hinds joined the 503rd Parachute Infantry Regiment in early 1942 at Ft. Benning, Georgia and was transferred to Ft. Bragg, NC for training prior to deployment to the Pacific Theater of Operations. He sailed from the west coast on October 20th, 1942 and landed in Australia on December 2nd, after 42 days aboard the Poelau Laut.

He made one combat jump on July 4th, 1944. He was active at Corregidor, New Guinea and the Philippines.
