In particular, as cantonment commander in Ketapang (West Borneo), he always acted as commander during the dangerous and most challenging patrols he dispatched, and through his personal authority and fearless conduct, he achieved the complete or partial destruction or dispersal of the terrorist gangs, as well as the enemy elements infiltrated from Java, so that law and order could subsequently be restored in this area."
