Recommendation:
For having distinguished himself in the face of the enemy as leader of an important resistance group in Rotterdam which supposedly took possession of weapons and material for sabotage that had been dropped. In order to gain more from these actions he crossed the frontline into the liberated south at the end of September and went to London to stimulate the dropping of these weapons. He returned November 11th, 1944 by air and continued his work for the resistance. In January 1945, he crossed the frontline once more for the same reason and returned to the Netherlands on the day of the liberation.
