He has led his platoon with a complete disregard for his personal safety, inspiring his men with confidence by his personal bravery. As a patrol leader he has carried out with marked success the many and difficult patrol tasks which he has been given, skilfully and courageously penetrating the enemy defended positions and never failing to bring back information of value.’
