This group, with the help of his advice, I was later able to amalgamate with other groups, and the success of the many and various activities of the Resistance under my command, which helped 21 army group in Holland (and specially 1st Canadian Army) was largely due to his untiring efforts."

In October 1944 he undertook a trip to the southern part of the Netherlands in order to provide the government and the commander of the Dutch forces with correct information on the various resistance groups. He has prepared this trip all by himself, completely disregarding any danger."
