On 8 December 1944 Pfc Rafalski, with complete disregard for his own safety, braved enemy artillery fire while administering first aid to and assisting in the evacuation of several wounded men. The courage and devotion to duty displayed by Pfc Rafalski reflect great credit to himself and the Military Service.
