Biography

Thomas Joseph Long served during the Second World War on home service as a Sergeant with the Royal Army Medical Corps.
Long was serving as a Hospital Sergeant with the Gloucestershire Division of the Saint John Ambulance Brigade when he was awarded the Service Medal of the Order of Saint John in 1950, and as a member of the Voluntary Medical Services, was also awarded the Voluntary Medical Service Medal.
He also received the British Red Cross Society For Merit Badge.
