Military history (based on information from the family):
- last rank: Leutnant (awarded at aprox. 01.June 1941)
- as on-board-rifle-man (Bordschütze) as well as on-board-radio-operator (Bordfunker) in the team of Ritterkreuzträger Hauptmann Schirrmener he participated on missions above Poland, Norway, France, Great Britain as well as all fronts (Fronten) at East up to 01. Jun 1941.
- when awarded as Leutnant he became the command of an long range reconnaissance airplane (Fernaufklärer)
