Pieter Jacob Slis lived in Sobbelsdijk. He worked as farmer and was arrested in Rotterdam on January 1945. On January 7th, 19435 he was executed along with nine other persons as a repraisal for the death of a German soldier. This soldier was killed in a raid by the resisatnce at a villa at the Bergweg Zuid in Berschenhoek.
