"As the senior Administrative Medical Officer of the Polish Armoured Division on him has fallen the task of organising the evacuation and treatment of the wounded from his division.

During the whole Campaign he outstandingly commanded the Medical units, providing immediate help for the wounded men.

Very often he, himself was working in the front line, under heavy enemy fire, setting a good example to his men.

In September 1944, during the Battle north of Ghent, this officer personally led the Medical patrol across the Hulst Canal, in the sector occupied by the enemy, in order to evacuate wounded".
