"Distinguished himself through courageous conduct against the enemy, after immediately placing himself at the disposal of the Intelligence Bureau as a radio operator after the liberation of the southern Netherlands and after several failed attempts to penetrate the lines to operate in occupied territory; after being dispatched to London, he departed from there by plane on April 12, 1945, with orders to place himself at the disposal of the internal forces as a radio operator.
Finally, he parachuted into the Netherlands, but was killed in the Loosdrecht Lakes by strong ground winds."
